We are seeking to recruit a registered and experienced health care professional as an Associate Lecturer (Education) into the Department of Health Sciences. You must have an interest in teaching and be able to competently teach clinical skills listed in Future nurse: Standards of proficiency for registered nurses (2018) (Annexe B: Nursing procedures) to our nursing and healthcare students. You will be working alongside Academic and Technical staff, in a supported role to contribute to the design and delivery of innovative and challenging learning experiences within simulation environments.
You will predominantly work within our expanding simulation and clinical skills facilities, contributing to the delivery and ongoing development of health and social care programmes. The successful applicant will need to be able to work within a team, communicate effectively, and have the ability to work flexibly and meet deadlines.
This is a developmental role with potential to become a lecturer clinical skills and simulation
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role:
The applicant will be required to hold current registration with their professional body eg NMC/ HCPC, be clinically up to date in NHS practice, and satisfy the requirements of checks by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
