We are seeking an exceptional academic to develop and lead a portfolio of research in the area of behavioural medicine. The successful postholder must have a research interest and knowledge in one or more of the following areas of research: physical activity and health, weight management interventions, physical activity interventions in primary care and community settings, public health physical activity and health behaviour change.
The post is most suitable for someone with experience of quantitative-based research methods. Applicants must have substantial experience of working as an academic researcher and possess strong organisational skills. You will have experience of writing successful funding applications and excellent research paper/report writing skills. You will also be an excellent leader and have experience of managing people within a research team. This post includes a 10% time commitment to supporting teaching-related activities and the successful candidate will have experience of delivering formal teaching sessions. This post will be suitable for candidates wishing to work towards the submission of an externally funded research fellowship application.
This full-time post is offered on a fixed-term contract for 2-years in the first instance.
