About Delight Supported Living Ltd
Delight Supported Living (DSL) is a Care and Domiciliary Care provider in the Health & Social Care sector. DSL was originally registered to deliver home care to vulnerable adults we now also deliver to vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and provide nurses and care staff to the NHS, care homes and mental health hospitals.
About KTP
As a KTP Associate, you will work with the company to embed new know-how through this innovation project using research and academic support from the University knowledge base. Apply your degree through real work and springboard your career. This position forms part of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) funded by Innovate UK. Knowledge Transfer Partnerships is a partly government-funded programme to encourage collaboration between businesses and universities in the United Kingdom.
Main duties and responsibilities
You will investigate various cameras and design an Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning powered software system, develop the designed software system and validate/test it whilst working closely with supervisors from University and DSL to disseminate project progress in a timely manner.
The KTP Associate will lead weekly meetings with the company supervisor, Head of Care and Director on progress, new KB knowledge and development, produce technical documentation to describe project progress using technical diagrams and system architectures, along with carrying out presentations, briefing sessions, workshops and reports to explain technical concepts.
Skills and experience required
You will require demonstratable technical skills and understanding in Machine Learning (including Deep Learning) and AI, experience in programming applications in C/C++, Java or Python; using Machine Learning library: TensorFlow, Keras and/or PyTorch Software development, gathering complex information and share with a range of audiences and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will also be capable of building long-term relationships and networking effectively whilst being proactive in solving unexpected problems effectively and quickly.
Qualifications required
A first degree in Computer Science or closely related subject at a 2:1 level and/or has obtained a higher degree such as a MSc or PhD.
