Job Summary
The Department of Management has a collegial culture, with over 80 faculty organised across four subject groups: Procurement and Operations Management; Organisation, Work and Employment; Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Innovation; and Business and Labour Economics. Research networks flourish within and across these Groups, with research centres situated in the Department, across the School and connected to the University’s research institutes. The successful candidate will make a substantial contribution to the management, development and delivery of teaching and assessment, whilst enhancing the student experience and employability. Through excellent teaching you will inspire students, and be informed by discipline-based research as well as contribute to the management and administration in Dubai. We are looking for candidates with teaching experience in some of the following areas related to delivery of our new MSc Supply Chain Management programme in 2023.
You will have a PhD (or near to complete) in a relevant discipline.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can join us as Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management. The successful candidate will make significant contributions to the development and delivery of our new MSc Supply Chain Management programme, as well as to the research, leadership, learning and teaching, and business and community engagement strategy in the Department. Please note that this post is based at our University of Birmingham Dubai campus and will require teaching in the evenings and weekends to suit the part time needs of the students.
