The post holder will lead on the promotion of research and the digital marketing activities for the Centre for Research into Energy Demand Solutions (CREDS) and will be a member of the Core team. CREDS is a major initiative of the UK Research Councils’ Energy Programme funded by UKRI. CREDS started on 1 April 2018 and is a £19M Centre, which is undertaking globally leading research on energy demand issues and acting as the knowledge exchange network for the UK energy demand research community. CREDS is a consortium of more than 20 UK institutes with over 130 staff. It wishes to change the way that energy is used by reducing energy demand, improving energy efficiency and enabling flexibility in time of use.

Your duties will include leading on the promotion of research projects and integrated campaigns that support project and Centre objectives. You will also lead the day-to-day social media and digital marketing activities of CREDS. You will identify and engage with a range of audiences, translating research findings into compelling messages, stories and varied outputs suitable for different audiences. You will write, edit and proofread a range of communications materials for targeted audiences (internal and external), including newsletters and news releases.

You must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with non-specialist audiences and experience of using social media channels effectively to achieve clear communications objectives. Webinar/ physical event planning and management experience is essential. The ability to work to work independently in a complex environment, taking initiative when necessary and prioritising effectively to meet deadlines is a must.

This position is part-time (negotiable 22.5 – 30 hours per week) with potential for flexible working until 31st December 2023.
