The University of Portsmouth is an ambitious institution with a track record of success. One of only four universities in the south east of England to achieve a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework and ranked in the top 150 in the Times Higher Young University World Rankings.
The School is seeking to appoint outstanding, talented people to support development and delivery of our postgraduate Physician Associate curriculum. The School has a clear vision of what is required for the future medical associate workforce and this programme significantly contributes to that.
We are seeking Lecturer(s) or Senior Lecturer(s) to contribute to the delivery of teaching excellence for our Physician Associate programmes. The successful applicant may be involved in relevant research and innovation.
These are currently 2 x 0.5 fte roles, however we can be flexible and offer either fractional or full-time equivalent. The role will include designing and delivering theoretical and practical education and assessment, through blended learning. You will be able to effectively articulate your contribution to developing this programme and an ability to teach effective and safe person-centred diagnostics and clinical decision-making in the postgraduate curricula.
A commitment to the provision of a high-quality, educational experience is important.
For informal discussions, please contact Dr Jason Oakley, Head of School; Jason.Oakley@port.ac.uk
Please note this post is also available as ZZ007855-2 - Teaching Fellow or Senior Teaching Fellow in Physician Associate Studies x 2. If you would also like to apply for this post, you will need to make a separate application.
This post is available as either a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. Please also note each post has a different person specification/job description. You should indicate in the ‘reasons for applying section’ whether you wish to be considered for the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position.
The University of Portsmouth believes this role may be eligible for sponsorship with UKVI under the Skilled Worker Route visa. Please familiarise yourself with the requirements set out before applying for this role. If you are unable to meet the requirements for sponsorship you will need to confirm details of an alternative visa to work in the UK when applying for this role.
