Keele University is looking for an ambitious individual to join the established and successful Capital Projects Team within the University’s Estate and Campus Services Directorate.
The successful post-holder will be responsible for project lead, surveying & management activities focused on taking the project requirements, preparing schedules of work & specifications, procurement suitable suppliers & contractors as well as managing works on site. The successful post-holder will also be responsible for the University building condition survey, recording updates as planned works are carried out.
The successful post-holder will be educated to a high level in a surveying or construction related discipline or have equivalent practical experience. They will be a chartered construction professional (e.g. ARB, CIOB, CIBSE, RICS) & have extensive experience as a building surveyor. They will be highly organised, able to balance multiple projects together, be skilled in dealing with stakeholders & managing contractors. They will be able to use AutoCAD to a good level as well as key related software. Experience in higher education is desirable but not essential.
