We are currently looking for Lecturers to join our School of Law, as part of our ongoing growth and development. The School of Law sits within the Faculty of Social Sciences and is part of a friendly, supportive academic community.
The successful candidates will contribute to the development and delivery of our new degree programmes, with particular focus on our new practice ready LLB which aligns with the new Solicitors Qualifying Exam. Candidates should be highly motivated and committed to creating inventive, excellent learning environments for all of our students.
About You:
You will be qualified to postgraduate level in English Law. A PhD in Law and/or legal practice experience is welcome but not essential.
Ideally, you will hold FHEA or an equivalent teaching qualification. However, we are prepared to support the successful candidate in obtaining a recognised HE teaching Qualification and Advance HE Fellowship at the appropriate level.
You should be able to teach across the LLB curriculum including the foundations of legal knowledge and at least two other modules offered by the School of Law. This includes modules linked to the SQE curriculum. The ability to offer Land/ Property Law would be considered a bonus.
