The Law School at the University of Huddersfield has an exciting opportunity for a legal practitioner to join the academic team to teach in both LLB (Hons) Law, and legal practitioner courses. The role involves teaching up to 2 and half days/week, contributing to the Legal Advice Clinic activities, and being involved in course-related administrative duties.
We are particularly keen to recruit practitioners with experience of Criminal Litigation, Law of Evidence and Advocacy.
You will be:
- Professionally qualified as a solicitor or a barrister
- Experienced in public or private practice within the jurisdiction of England and Wales
As a Practitioner, we expect you to be actively engaged in practice in addition to your role at the University. This can be either through paid employment with another employer, paid consultancy or freelance work.
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all. Find out more about our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including our commitments and accreditations as a Disability Confident Employer, Stonewall Gold Award holder and Top 100 Employer, Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder and Race Equality Charter Bronze Award holder.
Informal enquiries can be made to: Dr Naila Anwar, Acting Head of Law, via email: N.Anwar@hud.ac.uk
