The School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer or Senior Teaching Fellow in Construction Practice and Law. You are expected to adopt a student-centric approach in line with LJMU’s “Student at the Heart” strategy to deliver an outstanding student experience and to make a broader contribution to the research and the administrative load of the School.
You will be expected to contribute to the delivery of modules at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in various subject areas across the school, including but not limited to Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, and Real Estate. You should demonstrate a strong background in law, quantity surveying, construction management or a related field and should be familiar with UK construction industry practices and laws. You have either completed, or are close to completing your PhD, or you can demonstrate compelling evidence of relevant professional experience. You should be willing to undertake research and contribute to the academic work of the School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment. In addition, willingness to contribute to developing and delivering outreach and engagement initiatives and interdisciplinary projects is essential. You should ideally be familiar with the mechanics of the British higher education system.
