An exciting opportunity exists within in the Faculty of Health, Education and Society at the University of Northampton to work within an established team of staff delivering teaching and learning within the midwifery programme. The University of Northampton is delighted to advertise for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Midwifery to join our established team of academic staff. We seek experienced individuals to contribute to delivery and future development of our undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio and deliver a high-quality student experience. With a passion for education, relevant clinical experience and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a midwife.
The position will be 4 days a week (0.8 FTE) with flexibility across the working week Monday - Friday.

About You
We are looking for an inspirational Lecturer/Senior Lecturer with creativity and a passion for advancing the profession. Qualification or experience in student supervision and/or teaching is desirable. Applicants must hold a BSc (Hons) in Midwifery and have current registration as a midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
As an experienced midwife and educator, you will be able to provide high quality, research informed teaching to undergraduate midwifery students through a variety of teaching mediums. The successful candidate will embrace Active Blended Learning, through face-to-face teaching and use of our virtual learning platform.
An aptitude for research is desirable and the ability to supervise undergraduate projects is required. Experience in postgraduate teaching and/or research supervision is desirable. Applicants must be able to provide an outstanding student learning experience through effective planning, delivery, and assessment of a broad range of learning opportunities. A willingness to develop leadership capabilities through additional roles within the Faculty and wider institution is welcomed.
