About the role

In this role, you will teach and support students through their studies as a member of the MCS teaching focused staff in the School. Specifically you will have a specialism in the area of post-production but will also contribute to the broad area media practice and advertising. The right applicant will not only have experience of working in production environments, they will be also be able to work in an academic environment with a range of software packages including (but not limited to) InDesign, Adobe Animate, Adobe Character Animator, Premiere Pro, After Affects and Photoshop.  
 
In addition, you will undertake teaching and learning activities supporting the School to enhance its internal and external reputations and to support student attainment. This will include; marking and moderation, dissertation supervision and module coordination and delivery where appropriate (in your areas of expertise/skillset). You will also have the opportunity to develop your knowledge in relevant fields and study for HEA award accreditation to ensure your teaching meets the standards within a world leading academic department.

About you

You will have experience in the delivery of teaching to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, ideally at an HEI. In addition, you will have experience of contributing to the design of modules, course and curricula and of delivering innovative teaching. You will have an ability to carry out scholarly or pedagogic research to support the curriculum and your personal development, alongside the ability to develop resource materials to enhance teaching quality. We are looking for an academic practitioner to integrate with our world-leading research and teaching environment who is confident teaching a range of modules using comprehensive delivery methods including lectures, seminars, workshops and tutoring.
