Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
The School of Social Work and Social Policy is an interdisciplinary group of researchers and teachers in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. We carry out teaching in areas relating to Social Work, Social Policy, Education and Social Services, Child and Youth Care Studies, and Residential Child Care. We also undertake research and knowledge exchange in a range of areas, including Children, Young People and Families; Health and Wellbeing; Citizenship and Communities; and Social and Criminal Justice.
The Bachelor in Education and Social Sciences Course takes students from feeder Colleges in Glasgow into years three and four of the BA programme. Many students come from SMID backgrounds and many transition onto Master Programmes in Education or Social Work.
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Fellow for a full time post to contribute to the delivery of our BA programme in Education and Social Services. We are looking for someone who has the experience, moving forward, to lead this programme. Candidates should have a good honours degree and PhD (or equivalent professional experience) in Social Work or Education or a related discipline and experience of teaching in a University setting.
Formal interviews for this post will be held on Thursday, 25 May 2023.
Informal enquiries about the post can be directed to Fiona Drummond, School Manager (f.drummond@strath.ac.uk).
