This post provides an opportunity for an enthusiastic early career academic to gain a wide range of experience in learning, teaching and assessment practice. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of teaching and provide academic support for groups of students. You will also contribute to the assessment of one or more modules and under the supervision and guidance of a senior academic member of staff, act as an Academic Personal Tutor to students.
The candidate must be fluent with Engineering Project Management tools and techniques and typically hold certification such as PRINCE2 (Foundation and Practitioner) and have a practical background in Agile Project Management. It is advantageous for the candidate to have experience of applying project management philosophies, principles, tools and techniques as well as developing and managing project information and systems within a relevant engineering sector. Whilst not totally essential membership of the Association for Project Management (APM) would be extremely advantageous.
This post is teaching centred where you will focus on modules at different academic levels. You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do, being able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the delivery of teaching so that it is engaging, innovative and responsive. Your drive will be to achieve excellent student learning outcomes.
This is a teaching focused post that will attract candidates from both academic and industrial backgrounds. The candidate should be qualified to a minimum Honours Degree level and ideally have relevant industrial experience or a recognised teaching qualification and/or a higher-level qualification such as a Master’s Degree or PhD.
