The School has a well-established track record in high quality research across a broad range of drug delivery, drug discovery, pharmacy and patient safety related areas as well as in the development of spinout companies bringing new therapeutic strategies to the patient. Dedicated to teaching and research in pharmacy, you will have access to modern laboratory space and cutting edge fabrication (spray drying, freeze drying, electrohydrodynamic approaches, hot melt extrusion, etc) and analysis facilities (e.g. X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis, particle sizing, electron/confocal microscopies, nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry).
About the role
The post holder will assist in the delivery of the MSc Pharmaceutics and the MSc Pharmaceutical Formulation & Entrepreneurship, as well as supporting undergraduate teaching. These MSc programmes are well established and highly successful programmes that in total recruit a total of approximately 100 postgraduate students annually.

About you
You must have a PhD or equivalent qualification in pharmaceutical or materials sciences (either obtained or thesis submitted). You will have research experience in drug delivery /pharmaceutics and have experience of teaching and student project supervision.
The candidate must have an understanding of modern analytical techniques used in pharmaceutics (in particular microscopy, diffraction, and thermal methods) and have experience in demonstration or teaching in student practical classes/workshops.
In addition you must have experience of supervising undergraduate or masters project students and have excellent communication and teamwork skills and have a willingness to engage with social media for educational purposes.
