The Deputy Dean of IBSS

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  1. Research, develop and implement international strategies and plans to promote the IBSS brand, applied to courses of study, research, institutional partnerships, corporate engagement and knowledge transfer;
  2. Undertake market research to inform international marketing and recruitment strategies, monitor competitive intelligence, etc. for the University overall, for specific geographic markets or for specific academic programmes;
  3. Plan and produce digital marketing campaigns in foreign markets that include electronic direct mail, web marketing, social media, etc.
  4. Assist in the production of digital marketing campaigns in domestic markets that include electronic direct mail, web marketing, social media, etc.
  5. Plan and produce off-line integrated marketing communications that may include print collateral, advertising, promotional events, marketing merchandise, public relations, etc. to achieve campaign or programme objectives;
  6. Work extensively with UMC teams to identify stories and other content for websites, collateral material, digital/social media marketing initiatives, videos, campaigns, direct marketing, etc.;
  7. Prepare communication campaigns or bespoke collateral to support student recruitment at educational fairs, establish KPIs and work with recruiting teams to monitor effectiveness;

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in a business field is essential; MBA, master’s degree in Marketing or Business Communication, or equivalent postgraduate qualification/s is preferred;
  • Ideally, at least five years of experience in Public Relations/Communications/Marketing Management related position in a corporate or institutional setting; ideally, minimum of three years of directly relevant experience and in-depth knowledge of higher education is preferred;
  • Excellent English level, preferably native or near-native competence in English;
  • Significant experience with digital marketing and electronic direct marketing is strongly preferred;
  • Experience working with creative teams to develop complex projects such as collateral material, videos, websites or advertising;
  • Superior writing skills are essential, with the ability to write and proof read English content of publishable quality; presentation and interpersonal skills are also required;
