We have a rare opportunity for a highly motivated Clinical Research Nurse to become part of the world-leading vaccine development institute. As a member of the Jenner Vaccine Trials – NDM (JVT-NDM) team within the Jenner Institute, you will conduct phase I/II clinical studies across a diverse range of disease themes.
You will act as lead nurse in collaboration with the border multidisciplinary team in setting-up and delivering various phase I/ II clinical trials as designated by the Research Nurse Matron/ Manager, across a range of clinical and administrative research related activities. You will support other CRNs, as they will support you, in providing clinical cover, training, support and supervision to colleagues and junior staff where appropriate.
As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will be responsible for managing the day to day clinical and participant facing administrative aspects of the named trials.
It is essential that you are a NMC Registered Adult Nurse with post registration experience in a relevant area of practice. You will have demonstrable experience of venepuncture skills and practice, attention to detail and evidence of continuing professional development throughout your career. You will also have excellent communication skills along with computer literacy in MS Office packages and a willingness to learn new systems. Experience in clinical research is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
