Can you provide technical support to research projects and do you have extensive laboratory experience which includes skills in genomics medicine, flow cytometry and tissue culture?
This post is funded from a senior fellowship grant awarded to Associate Professor Dr Sinisa Savic. The aim of the fellowship is to investigate the role of post-zygotic, somatic mutations in the pathogenesis of various immune mediated inflammatory diseases and their influence on response to treatment. The post holder will be working closely with two Postdoctoral Research Fellows, two PhD students and two clinical fellows to deliver objectives of this project. The post holder will be expected to provide technical support for the research group and the Leeds NGS facility, assisting with high throughput sequencing studies of various patient cohorts. The post holder will also be expected to use other methodologies such as digital droplet PCR for analysis of cell-free plasma derived DNA, flow cytometry and Luminex to analyse the serum for variety of inflammatory markers.
