Having just completed the last phase of our Estate Plan which delivered £160m of new buildings and refurbishments we are now looking to embark on the next exciting chapter in the development of our campus. We have extensive plans for development, reorganisation and refurbishment of key areas of our estate to support our University Strategy for 2023-2030.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Capital Development team within the wider Estate Development department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible, under the supervision or with the support of a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager, for the delivery of small/medium sized projects across the university’s portfolio to include setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, managing supply chain partners and summarising progress of the project. You should have a good knowledge of construction Health & Safety and be able to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, see projects through from inception to completion.
The Estate Development team work collaboratively to ensure all members of the team are supported and so we provide a consistent delivery across the range of projects we are involved in.
The LJMU Climate Action Plan with its goal to be net zero carbon by 2035 is changing the focus of many of our projects and we are looking for an individual who is passionate and committed to delivering fundamental change in the way buildings are designed, constructed, and operated throughout their lifecycle.
