Enhanced Teaching
Location: Bay Campus
The School of Management is home to over 100 academics and approximately 3,000 students, with multiple research centres and programmes encompassing the full range of business management subject areas at postgraduate (PG) and undergraduate (UG) level. The School offers a full suite of UG/PG programmes including a BSc in Marketing, MSc in Strategic Marketing and both BSc and MSc in International Tourism Management; an MBA and DBA are also available, and the School is active in the recruitment and supervision of postgraduate research students. Our Student Experience Strategy is backed by small group teaching, work placements, careers advice, a Student Hub, extended professional services, and greater business engagement – around 250 companies are supporting work placements and student projects in business.
In 2015, the School of Management moved to a new custom-built facility on the Science and Innovation (Bay) Campus, one of the largest ever investments by a UK University in new facilities. The School occupies a beach-front £23 million building, with further campus extension planned.
The School is recruiting a permanent full time faculty member to join our Marketing & Tourism Group in September 2023 on the Enhanced Teaching pathway. We are seeking an engaged and enthusiastic individual who can provide exemplary learning opportunities and outcomes for our UG and PG marketing students as well as make a significant positive contribution to the intellectual life of the group. Extensive academic and professional experience in the theory and practice of marketing will be essential in order to make an effective contribution to the development, delivery and growth of our BSc and MSc programmes. The ability to contribute to one or more of SoM’s research centres is also an expectation; this could occur via the generation of traditional journal outputs or other industry or community engagement activities. Interest in gaining experience in an administrative role in the learning/teaching realm would also be desirable. For further information please contact Prof Sarah Nicholls at sarah.nicholls@swansea.ac.uk.
