You should have the knowledge and ability to teach students across our programmes (such as BA Communication, PR and Advertising and MA Marketing Communications) how to collect, read, analyse, interpret and implement user and marketing data in the media and communication Industries.
Specifically, the successful candidate will be able to teach (or contribute to teaching on) most or all of the following modules:
- Audiences, Markets and Analytics (MA)
- Digital Consumers and Markets (MA)
- Social Media Marketing (MA)
- Analytics and User Experience (UG, Y3)
- Introduction to Marketing (UG, Y1)
The successful applicant will have a good first degree (ideally in Media, Communication, Data Analytics, Marketing, Statistics or a related field) and industry-derived expertise related to Media and Marketing Analytics. The role is focussed on professional analytical skills related to understanding marketing data and customer behaviour, especially as these pertain to media companies and their audiences. You will have expertise in quantitative methods and be able to teach students (who will not have a thorough background in quantitative methods) data literacy in a way that is accessible and helps them understand how market data insights can improve their practice as media and communication producers or managers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher able to engage and enthuse a diverse student body. We are also looking for a new colleague who is a team player and willing to collaborate to strengthen and scale the provision of Media and Marketing Analytics across an expanding portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, CPD, short courses and so on.
