We are currently recruiting to our Research Contracts team within the University’s Research & Innovation department and are looking for highly-motivated applicants.  The team is part of the wider Research Operations hub, which provides financial management, contractual, governance and application support to the University’s research. The Contracts Assistant role is based within a busy, diverse and friendly Contracts team, working with colleagues across Research & Innovation and the wider University to facilitate research and knowledge exchange activity.

The successful candidate will work with colleagues across Research and Innovation and within Schools and Faculties to facilitate research and knowledge exchange activity by providing an efficient contractual support service to the University research community, primarily through timely reviewing, drafting, negotiation and processing of research contracts, and by supporting the efficient flow of contracts through the contracts management process.

As a Research Contracts Assistant, you will be responsible for drafting reviewing and negotiating a substantial workload of research agreement including confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements, amendment agreements and or standard template agreements. You will prepare contracts for signature and will have access to a suite of template agreements in order to expedite contract execution where appropriate.

You should be committed to working in and contributing to an environment of continuous improvement and will contribute towards the ongoing development and implementation of effective procedures and systems supporting research contracts and interfaces with other teams.  

This position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
