About us
IOE is UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society. Founded in 1902, IOE has been shaping policy and helping government, organisations and individuals navigate a changing society for the last 120 years.
CLOSER, the home of longitudinal research, is the interdisciplinary partnership of leading social and biomedical longitudinal population studies, the UK Data Service and The British Library.
Our mission is to increase the visibility, use and impact of longitudinal population studies, data and research to ensure that longitudinal evidence is used to address the health, social, economic and environmental challenges facing the UK, now and in the future.
About the role
This post represents an exciting opportunity to join the CLOSER team. CLOSER’s Training and Capacity Building (TCB) programme aims to develop, grow and sustain a critical mass of professional and research capacity and skills in the management, conduct and analysis of longitudinal population studies (LPS) by filling important gaps in current provision.
CLOSER provides novel go-to resources for LPS researchers and the specialist staff required to manage LPS and creates highly valued opportunities for the inter-disciplinary LPS community to share knowledge and best practice in a supportive environment.
The Head of Training and Capacity Building will ensure CLOSER delivers its TCB objectives and develop a comprehensive long-term vision and plan for CLOSER’s TCB activities.
The post is available at 0.5FTE for 12 months in the first instance.
Interviews will be held on Monday 22 May 2023.
