The Department of Design and the Built Environment has a long history of academic excellence across the subjects of Architecture, Interior Design and Product Design, as well as the Built Environment.
We are seeking to appoint two full-time Senior Lecturers in Architecture, focused on teaching and research in our Architecture Part 1 and Part 2 courses. There may be an opportunity to act as course leaders, and a multidisciplinary approach to architecture is required.
You will form part of an effective team, which focuses on innovative contemporary practice and research including architecture, interior design, project management, surveying, and architectural technology. Knowledge of contemporary cutting-edge practice combined with an enthusiasm to work across disciplines are important attributes for the post.
With appropriate professional and teaching experience in architecture, supported by professional body membership, you will have teaching experience in higher education, a strong awareness of your subject area and enthusiasm to bring digital design practice into your teaching. You will have a PhD qualification or be in a position to enrol to undertake a doctoral level qualification. You should also have a track record of research and/or enterprise activity.
You will be joining a dedicated, passionate and forward-thinking, Architecture and Built Environment team and will be expected to demonstrate excellence in your work, which will be strongly supported through personal development plans.
