This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, highly motivated and friendly team. The Quality and Regulation team is at the heart of what the University does, and this post works across areas including programme validation, programme monitoring and evaluation, external examining and professional accreditation. Working under the management of the Quality and Regulation Manager this is a new post that grows the number of Quality managers in the team, and who collectively have responsibility for ensuring that all academic quality assurance and regulatory compliance processes are understood and implemented throughout the University.
Where appropriate, the Quality Manager may be linked with a specific Faculty and will be responsible for ensuring core activities related to academic quality assurance and standards are supported and delivered a focus on responsive and collaborative service delivery. This will include providing support for Academic Board and/or some of its sub-committees as well as themselves making improvements and recommendations for changes to regulations, policies and procedures. This is a time of change and we are looking for someone who can bring genuine enthusiasm, drive and innovation for quality assurance in higher education.
The successful candidate must have experience of working with higher education and in a quality setting, as well as being well organised, able to work to deadlines and with good attention to detail and be able to provide guidance and advice on often complex policies and regulations, using excellent written and oral communication skills. They will be expected to liaise and work with external bodies where required (OIA, QAA or PSRBs for example) and be able to provide support to relevant internal and external quality assurance processes, such as QAA institutional reviews or other audits.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
