The Finance & Research Administrator post offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a dynamic and collegiate Finance & Research Team as well as benefiting from the opportunities afforded by being part of the larger financial and administrative community of the Faculty of Brain Sciences, School of Life and Medical Sciences and University College London (UCL).
About the role
The Finance & Research Administrator will be responsible for pre-award research grant and financial administration. Using their knowledge of research funding processes in an academic environment, the postholder will support our academic staff in the costing and submission of grant applications.
The Finance & Research Administrator will prepare and co-ordinate accurate financial reports and spreadsheets and will be a key contact within the department for all finance and research matters, including supporting PIs with expense claims and travel bookings.
About you
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) or have significant experience in Higher Education or similar environment, the postholder will have experience in financial administration, be highly organized with an ability to work under pressure, whilst still maintaining accuracy.
The Finance & Research Administrator is a key member of the Finance & Research team, therefore good communication and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
