The AV & Classroom Support Team constitutes part of the wider Operations and Support Team, within IT Services.
The AV & Classroom Support Team have overall responsibility for the support, installation, operation, maintenance and upgrade of audio-visual, video-conferencing and multimedia presentation facilities and services in venues across the School (including lecture theatres, classrooms, meeting rooms and teaching laboratories). They also act as service owner for the Zoom service to support hybrid teaching and meeting facilities across LSHTM.
LSHTM is recruiting an Audio Visual and Classroom Support Officer to support our growing AV provision at the School. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in support operations and project development.
You will be able to demonstrate substantial knowledge and experience relevant to the post. Experience supporting a broad range of audio-visual hardware/software, and providing a customer-focused AV service in a complex environment is essential. You will be expected to work on your own initiative and with a close-knit team, supported by the Audio Visual & Classroom Support Manager. You should be familiar with video conferencing systems, preferably Zoom. Experience of AV installation and control systems is desirable.
The post is full time and permanent.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 5 in the range £37,531 - £42,875 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
