The role
As a Level 2 swimming teacher you will help teach and coach people of all ages and abilities to develop swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water. Applicants will be customer focused, have a positive and problem solving attitude at all times and demonstrate an aptitude for teamwork.
These positions will complete the swimming pool rota ensuring a safe and effective swimming pool operation.
What will you be doing?
You'll be working on a successful learn to swim programme, delivering a range of lessons to children and adults.
You'll plan and deliver swimming lessons in line with the scheme of work and creating lesson plans that will identify participants’ abilities and encourage them to reach their full potential.
You will plan and deliver sessions appropriate to the level of swimmer.
When teaching you will provide explanations and demonstrate swimming techniques.
Correct faults in swimming techniques and identify ways to improve performance for the individual swimmers.
To be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children and adults to participate in swimming.
Regularly assess each participant’s ability and progress and arrange for the award of the appropriate certificates.

The salary is equivalent to the hourly rate of £14.26 per hour
