In the School, we provide a great learning environment for our students, and the successful candidate will join a team of lecturers committed to pedagogic excellence. Members of the teaching team have won awards for their outstanding leadership and curriculum delivery, and are responsible for developing innovative teaching methods, engaging experiences for our students, and supportive pastoral care. All of our core academic staff are PhD qualified and 85% also hold a recognised teaching qualification.

Candidates should hold a PhD in either Sport and Exercise Sciences, Psychology or related discipline (or be close to completion) and have previous experience of teaching at a higher education institution. The ability to communicate accurately and confidently in Welsh, in both spoken and written form, is essential for this post.

The successful candidate is expected to take up the post in August 2023, and the position is available until 31st July 2024.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance.
