An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Associate join the School of Psychology to conduct research on cognitive segmentation (our ability to break down complex problems into smaller, more manageable parts). The project is funded by the British Academy, and you will be working with the lead researcher Dr Elizabeth Byrne and other team members. The research will involve collecting cognitive data as part of an individual differences study.
As a Research Associate you will contribute to the research programme, collect, analyse, and interpret data, write up results and present information on research progress and outcomes.
You will have a graduate level qualification, equivalent qualification or experience. You will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data and work effectively as part of a team. You will have previous research experience involving data collection, processing, analysis and interpretation, and be able to meet all essential criteria outlined in the person specification within the candidate brochure.
This part-time (0.6 FTE) post is available from 1 September 2025 on a fixed-term basis for 14 weeks.
