About the Role
The ER Policy and Projects Manager is a new role and will work as part of the Employee Relations and Policy team and wider HR Department helping support and enhance people management practices and the interpretation and implementation of relevant HR policies and procedures.
The role holder will operate with a supportive and proactive approach while providing appropriate and timely advice and guidance to managers in effectively dealing with their day-to-day people management issues.
About You
You will have a demonstrable experience of policy writing and projects management in a unionised environment and be able to handle complex and sensitive reviews of policy so that this coupled with your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong professional and credible relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
About Human Resources
The HR Function sits within the Professional Services Directorate and is part of the professional services group that enable and facilitate the success of our students and academics. Along with other professional service areas the HR Department seeks to deliver value for money through professionalism, proactivity, efficiency, economy, effectiveness and equity.

The role is full-time, offered on a permanent basis and is available as a newly created position. It is based at our new Department W building, 81 Mile End Road, Whitechapel, London, and offered with the opportunity for hybrid (i.e. a mixture of home based and office) working.
The starting salary will be in the grade 6 salary range from £51,048 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
