We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented individual to work on an innovative collaboration between SWMAS (South West Manufacturing Advisory Service) Limited and the University of Plymouth. This position will be based near Bridgwater, Somerset (Hybrid working model).
The Role:
This is a very interesting and challenging role for a qualified scientist to work on a joint project under Knowledge Transfer Partnership, between SWMAS and the University of Plymouth. The key objective of this role is review evidence and develop best practice to optimise a new Scope 3 assessment tool that will enable the value chain for manufacturing and other sectors to greatly reduce emissions to achieve 2050 Net Zero targets. This will prepare the way for adoption of Life Cycle Assessment in the longer term.

You will be highly numerate with well-developed problem-solving skills. You will need a proven ability to lead a project from the scientific/engineering perspective. An interest and enthusiasm in implementing environmental strategies, techniques and technologies is desirable and you will be a confident and outgoing team member who enjoys working in different environments.
