Full-time role and hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days in our London office
The Health Foundation is an independent charity committed to better health and health care for people in the UK.
The Policy team aims to support more evidence-informed policies on health and care. We do this by analysing, understanding and informing national policies on health and social care in the UK, with a particular focus on the performance and overall direction of the health system in England.
The policy fellow will be a core part of the policy team, but will also provide dedicated research, analysis, and other support directly to the Health Foundation’s chief executive. This will include helping to prepare for speaking engagements, events and podcasts, but also preparing research papers and briefings on cross-cutting policy topics. This is a high-profile role with an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the Foundation’s work.
The policy fellow will focus particularly on fast-moving reactive work and tracking relevant political and policy developments. Examples include responding to new NHS priorities and initiatives, or analysing major political events that impact on health and care. The policy fellow will also contribute to longer term research and policy analysis conducted by the Policy team. The role will involve collaboration with senior colleagues across the Foundation and externally.
You will need to have a track record of analysing health policy, writing clearly, and using research and analysis to inform policy decisions. You will also need to understand and value the mix of methods and approaches needed to analyse and influence health and care policy.
