A role as a Research Contracts Manager within the Research Contracts team at The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is now available. This role provides vital support and expertise to our research teams with a range of legal agreements related to their projects in pursuit of LSHTM’s mission to improve health worldwide.
Research Contracts Managers are responsible for reviewing, drafting and negotiating research and consultancy contracts on behalf of faculty staff within agreed service levels set down by the Head of Legal Services. The postholder is responsible for ensuring that (i) LSHTM can comply with funder terms and conditions, (ii) appropriate due diligence procedures are followed when subcontracting collaborating institutions or service providers and (iii) the intellectual property, financial security and other interests of LSHTM are adequately protected.
Applicants must hold a higher education to degree level, or equivalent, or equivalent relevant experience. Applicants must have experience of working in a legal and contracts role in a research-intensive higher education institution. Knowledge of the contractual and regulatory landscape of clinical research in international projects is highly desirable. Further particulars are included in the job description.
The post is full time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and permanent.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 6 in the range £43,947- £49,908 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
