Innovation and research sit at the heart of the Business School, with ‘Sustainable Growth’ the thread that runs through our academic delivery. So, whether we are addressing the regional challenge of productivity or the global challenge of achieving net zero economies, our focus is to ensure that our impact will drive sustainable growth. We achieve this through our applied learning and teaching practices, designed and delivered in partnership with our vast network of business partners and stakeholders.
We are set to open the doors of our new iconic business school in the city centre during 2024/25. The state-of-the-art facilities will enhance our applied approach to learning, teaching, and research. Given this significant investment, the business school is continuing to expand across each subject area. We are, therefore, looking to attract the very best talent to join our team and contribute to our future growth plans.
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Marketing you will have particular responsibility for developing, leading and teaching a range of academic modules and professional short courses in areas such as creative advertising, public relations practice, branding, marketing management, customer insights and general marketing.
Expertise in several of these areas would, therefore, be an advantage. A flexible approach to teaching across Undergraduate, Postgraduate and professional programmes is required.
You will be expected to have gained a high level of successful teaching experience within Higher Education and be able to demonstrate how your pedagogic practice engages student learning, delivers a positive student experience and addresses future expectations of students within the workplace.
You should be able to provide evidence of your knowledge and expertise in your subject area from a range of perspectives and how this integrates with and informs the business context and climate. It is anticipated that your own research will further contribute to teaching and assist in the development of new insights into operations and business technology issues within organisations.
