The Department of Veterinary Medicine at Cambridge is at the forefront of veterinary science and education and is a centre of excellence for teaching and research. Veterinary Medicine is a large, multidisciplinary department whose scientific activities are fully integrated into the whole University. The Department hosts Undergraduate and Postgraduate students and it operates small animal and equine hospitals and equine and farm animal clinical services in order to provide clinical teaching material. The majority of the research groups are housed in Department buildings on the University's West Cambridge Site, and others are based across the Schools of Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences and Clinical Medicine.

The Department is seeking an experienced HR Administrator to support human resource administration within the Clinical team in order to provide an effective and efficient service. You will support a wide range of HR related issues and processes, including carrying out general HR administration to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the employment life cycle.

You will be expected to take a proactive and flexible approach to your work and will have relevant HR administrative experience. You will have excellent organisational skills, the ability to work on your own initiative, prioritise work, maintain accuracy, confidentiality and work to tight deadlines. You will have excellent administrative skills including competence in IT packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Evidence of the ability to apply first class customer service skills and to work collaboratively are key.

The role is offered with a salary of between £25,742- £29,605 per annum depending on experience, plus on call allowance and an abundance of benefits such as:
