Are you passionate about information governance and data protection? Have you got experience of responding to requests made under Freedom of Information and Data Subject Access rights? Do you have experience of dealing with a range of issues relating to information compliance?
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and motivated information professional to join our Information Governance team.
We are seeking someone to enhance our ability to respond to Freedom of Information enquiries and individual rights requests made in accordance with Data Protection legislation (including data subject access requests). The right candidate will act as a source of expertise and support to respondents across the University; and will review, refresh and maintain the University’s systems for recording request-related data and associated guidance. You will also play a broader role in developing systems and processes to embed and monitor GDPR compliance across the institution, including the development of tracking logs for data sharing and processing agreements and maintaining the University’s Data Protection website.
Reporting to the Head of Information Governance and Records Management (who is also the Data Protection Officer), and working alongside an existing Information Governance officer, this is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to join a developing team and play a key role in designing compliance structures and approaches.
