This role is based at the BGS headquarters in Keyworth, Nottingham

Full-time – 37 hours a week (some flexible working options may be available, including a small amount of remote working, in line with BGS policy)
This role will help to deliver content to British Antarctic Survey (BAS), British Geological Survey (BGS) and NERC Head Office and will be based at BGS Keyworth. The successful candidate will assist with electronic subscriptions renewals, and will be involved in working on library systems such as Sharepoint, and Library Management System WMS (Worldshare Management Services). You will report directly to the NLS Content Coordinator and work closely with colleagues in BAS and BGS, as well as liaising with external suppliers.

You will have a degree or post graduate qualification in a relevant subject area (e.g. Library & Information Management, Library Studies), or have comparable and relevant levels of library work experience in a research focused organisation.
We are looking for candidates with a proven ability to work both individually and as part of a team and a keen interest in information management, library services, open access and library collections management.
Occasional travel to attend meetings and training events within the UK is a requirement of this role.
