We are seeking a highly creative Learning Experience Designer with a passion for designing active learning experiences to join our new Learning Experience Design team within the Keele Institute of Innovation and Teaching Excellence (KIITE).
KIITE is responsible for supporting educational delivery and evaluation through core functions of curriculum and learning design, learning technology and academic development.
As a Learning Experience Designer, you will play a pivotal role in the roll out of our new learning design process, supporting a student-centred learning approach across module development and delivery. You will work closely with academic colleagues and will draw on your knowledge of learning theory and design practice to ensure modules are engaging, accessible and inclusive. You will have a thorough understanding of the needs of diverse students and will have experience designing for synchronous and asynchronous learning modalities.
Working across several modules simultaneously, the ideal candidate will thrive on working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects. This is a highly collaborative role that requires excellent influencing skills and experience of nurturing creative partnerships based on mutual respect and trust. You will have a wealth of ideas to bring to the process and will support your module authors with sequencing and designing activities that optimise student engagement and meet learning outcomes, drawing on data and learner analytics to influence decision-making.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience of learning design. You will also support academic development through the delivery of learning design workshops and accredited programmes and will tutor staff on our Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice.
