The Opportunity

We are seeking a creative and resourceful Curriculum Designer who thrives on a working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects, to join our newly formed curriculum design team within the Keele Institute of Teaching and Learning Excellence (KIITE).

KIITE (Keele Institute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence) is responsible for supporting educational delivery and evaluation through core functions of curriculum and learning design, learning technology and academic development.

As a Curriculum Designer, you will play a pivotal role in the roll out of our new curriculum design process, designed to enhance programme quality, consistency, and efficiency. You will work with diverse stakeholders, including academic teams and the Senior Curriculum Designer (Careers and Employability) to lead programme design sprints, prior to validation and re-validation.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires excellent facilitation skills to keep stakeholders focused and the sprint process on track. You will have ownership of all planning and facilitation and will ensure key milestones are met. You will draw on your experience and knowledge of curriculum design to quality assure the process and to ensure key institutional frameworks for curriculum design are embedded. 

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have relevant knowledge and experience of curriculum design. This is an exciting opportunity that will suit a curriculum designer keen to be involved in programme delivery. As part of this role, you will also support delivery of our accredited programmes and will tutor staff undertaking our Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice PGCert. You will also support academic development through the delivery of curriculum design workshops.
