We are looking for an experienced Senior Academic Developer to lead the development and delivery of KIITE’s academic development portfolio across Keele.

KIITE is responsible for supporting educational delivery and evaluation through core functions of curriculum and learning design, learning technology and academic development.

You will be a core member of the senior team within KIITE, responsible for the entire academic development portfolio include accredited programmes (the PGCert in Higher Education Practice and the Academic Professional Apprenticeship) non-accredited courses (including KIITE’s annual programme of workshops and conferences) and lead HEA CPD (including Fellowships). 

The role will act as the primary point of contact for academic development within KIITE and the post-holder should have significant experience of programme leadership in this area, along with knowledge of the UKPSF. The role involves working with a range of internal and external colleagues to develop and deliver an effective and high-quality portfolio of academic development.

You will be expected to consult with academic staff and maintain awareness of best practice across the sector. You will also be required to work closely with, and mentor, members of the curriculum design team to support delivery of the portfolio, ranging from teaching and marking on the PGCert to reviewing Fellowship applications where appropriate.

As Senior Academic Developer you will lead on the evaluation of all elements of the portfolio, undertaking regular reviews of provision, making recommendations, and implementing changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
