We are looking for an experienced Senior Learning Experience Designer to lead the transformation of learning design across the Keele curriculum.
You will be a core member of the senior team within KIITE, responsible for developing and implementing a defined process to embed the roll out of learning design across Keele’s curriculum, scaling up and implementing the process across a varied range of provision in schools and faculties, ensuring flexibility is built into the provision.
KIITE is responsible for supporting educational delivery and evaluation through core functions of curriculum and learning design, learning technology and academic development.
You will lead a small team of learning experience designers, providing mentorship and constructive feedback to the team throughout the process, drawing on your extensive experience in learning design and creative leadership skills to inspire the team to develop innovative, inclusive student-centred approaches to learning design. You will oversee project planning and resource allocation, manage performance and generate opportunities for staff development.
As Senior Learning Designer you will lead on learning experience design on high profile programmes and you will also lead on the evaluation of the effectiveness of learning design across programmes, making recommendations for changes to improve delivery to students.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, project management and collaboration skills and ideally experience in successfully managing change involving a broad range of stakeholders. This role will involve working closely with senior academic stakeholders including Directors of Education and within KIITE, the Senior Curriculum Designer to ensure curriculum expectations framework is embedded in module development, and the Senior Learning Innovation Technologist to enable the team to engage with potential opportunities for embedding innovative technology into module design.
