The service plays a central role in UWE Bristol’s day to day operations while also delivering the transformational technology change required for Strategy 2030. Starting from Student Open Days and applications through to graduation and teaching, the whole student journey is increasingly dependent on technology and the capabilities it provides.
The Assistant Director will be a pro-active and influential leader, who can collaborate effectively with others, providing technology delivery services to the University. They will work in partnership with Professional Services and Academic colleagues, to ensure the technology supports the Universities aims and objectives both now and in the future.
This is an exciting opportunity that will lead a function of circa 60 with 6 direct reports covering software development, quality assurance and testing, project delivery and systems analysis.
Where is this role based?
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed, while we continue to develop incredible new facilities to enhance our offer even further.
