The Associate Director of Risk and Assurance is a high-profile, highly visible role. We are seeking a natural leader, who performs with confidence, possessing highly developed interpersonal skills. They must adapt their communication and delivery styles to different audiences and be capable of having challenging, but constructive, conversations with senior stakeholders to ensure the University effectively prioritises activity and areas of focus.
The role will oversee and further develop robust processes that facilitate the identification, mitigation and ongoing monitoring of key risks and areas of regulatory and statutory compliance. It will further embed the ‘grow and protect’ culture and ensure that the University can successfully achieve its strategic and operational objectives. A clear understanding and experience of modern, dynamic Enterprise Risk Management techniques, linking risk management to University strategy, business planning and performance management is essential.
The role holder will work closely with both professional services and academic colleagues to influence more effective risk management across the institute and will be an instrumental component of the University’s governance and assurance mechanisms.
This is a permanent, full-time post (36.25 hours). Work is carried out through a combination of on-campus and remote working, with a minimum of 3 days per week spent on campus.
