Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) is located on a beautifully green and pleasant campus just a few minutes’ walk from Lincoln Cathedral, Castle, and the old Roman city. Our story began in the 1860s as an Anglican teacher training college for women, which makes us one of the oldest Higher Education Institutions in the UK. Since then, we've grown, adapted, and modernised to become the thriving university we are today. We're still experts in teaching and education, but we've now got a wider portfolio of exciting degree courses than ever before. We currently offer causes in a wide range of subjects, from Undergraduate Degree level to PhD, and much more in between.

We are currently recruiting for a Lecturer in Health and Social Care (0.6 FTE). As we continue to develop our portfolio, we are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic member of the programme team to support the growth of our Health and Social Care provision at BGU.

We are ideally looking for someone with recent experience of working in the sector of Health and Social Care and who espouses the principle that, through effective education and learning the sector will continue to develop and improve. In addition, we are ideally looking for someone with experience of teaching in Higher Education and/or other formal educational setting as well as having an interest in evidence-based practice and research.  The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the delivery of specific modules on our BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care programme all of which are developed and have previously been delivered.
