Introduction
The House of Commons is looking to appoint a Knowledge Exchange Manager, starting from 2nd January 2024. This is currently a fixed term contract to 31st December 2024, with possibility of extension or permanency.

The Team
The Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST) serves both the House of Commons and House of Lords and is the office in UK Parliament that bridges research and policy. Its work includes the production of impartial, non-partisan and peer-reviewed briefings on topics in science, technology and the social sciences; horizon scanning activities; delivery of seminars and events; and support to select committees. POST is also home to UK Parliament’s Knowledge Exchange Unit (KEU), in which this role will be based.
The Role
The KEU supports the exchange of information and expertise between researchers and UK Parliament, working with higher education and beyond. The team delivers a range of activities, including: providing training and resources for researchers; promoting Parliament’s research evidence needs through social media and communications; delivering academic fellowship programmes; connecting members of the research and parliamentary communities with each other; and collaborating with the higher education sector to strengthen and diversify academic engagement with Parliament.
The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of these activities. You will lead or manage some of these activities, and contribute to delivering others. You will be encouraged to think more broadly and creatively about how to improve the activities the KEU delivers and supports.
