We are seeking to recruit a Payroll & Pensions Manager to join the HR Directorate. The role holder will be responsible for managing the timely and accurate provision of an outstanding Payroll and Pensions service to the University ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
You will manage and develop a small Payroll and Pensions team to deliver a high quality customer focussed service. Working closely with the Senior Payroll and Pensions Manager, you will drive forward any process improvements to maximise efficiencies and quality of service.
Key duties of the role include:
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in team management, and in the end to end monthly payroll processing for a medium or large sized organisation. The candidate should have strong and up to date knowledge of payroll and pension legislation and best practice, and have experience of managing Defined Benefit pension schemes.
Knowledge of Higher Education or public sector is desirable.
Experience of working with Unit 4 ERP system is highly desirable.
