Overview of the Role
Do you have experience of working within an animal laboratory environment? Do you want to be part of a technically trained team providing a proactive support service to deliver high quality provisions to facilitate world class scientific research?
As an Animal Technician, you will carry out routine animal laboratory duties. Up to 40% of the work will involve ancillary support duties (cage processing area) which can involve heavy lifting.
You will be working as part of a team responsible for ensuring a high standard of animal care and services are maintained to support a wide range of world class research programmes at the University of Leeds. You are required to work effectively as part of a team with staff and others to promote good working practices ensuring service adaptability to meet the changing needs of the Facility and the customers.
Experience of working in an animal laboratory environment and a proactive and logical approach to problem solving are essential qualities for this post.
