The Infrastructure and Cyber Security (ICS) Team, are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Support Technician with a strong technical focus and excellent working knowledge of IT & AV hardware.
As part of the Information Services Directorate, the ICS Team are responsible for the provision of all IT Infrastructure, Cyber Security & Enterprise Solutions which includes all IT hardware, collaboration tools such as M365, Identity & Authentication, and Sign-On solutions.
Reporting to the Senior Technical Officer, you will be responsible for providing responsive and effective 2nd line technical support to staff, students, and visitors in person and remotely. You will work closely with colleagues from across the Information Services department to resolve technical issues and deliver an efficient technical support service to a diverse range of users. Previous experience of working in a similar IT technical support role is highly desirable.
Since traveling to other sites in North Wales is a requirement of this role, the ability to regularly and sometimes at short notice travel to all Wrexham University campuses is essential.
If you have well-developed technical, interpersonal and team working skills, and an enthusiastic and positive attitude, with a strong attention to detail, this could be the role for you. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable, however, not essential.
