About the Role
We are looking for a Performing Arts and Music Practitoner to join our team on the Quarry Hill campus.
The right person will have a strong degree in a related subject or siginificant industry experience. The role will suit someone with a broad range of skills across the Performing Arts and Music but with a particular focus on Singing. Our FE students study on the Edexcel BTEC programmes at all levels so experience of delivering those in a post-16 context would be a distinct advantage. We are keen to hear from candidates with a non-traditional education background, and have applicants from underepresented groups, as to try to ensure our staff team matches the diversity and individuality of our student body.
This is an opportunity to join our experienced and passionate team based at the Quarry Hill Campus at Leeds City College, part of the Luminate Education Group. The department of Music and Performance Production has more than 500 learners, predominantly 16-18 years old, studying Musical Theatre, Music Production, Dance, Music, Theatre Design and Production, and Acting.
The state of the art campus opened in September 2019, and is home to fantastic facilities including the 180 seat Chroma-Q Theatre; 5 dance studios; 2 recording studios; TV production facilities; screening room; practice rooms; and Theatre Design workshops. We are looking for committed, creative and innovative colleagues who are excited by the possibilities that working in our team will offer. Our unoffical campus motto is "Be Cool, Be Kind". Is that a place you would be proud to be part of?

EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
We recognise, value and champion diversity & Inclusion. As we engage with a diverse student population we want to ensure we reflect that in our staff population too. For us diversity is about building happy teams, full of people that want to learn and be inspired by each other, by our different experiences and backgrounds. It is important to us that both staff and students achieve their full potential. Diversity is important to us, but inclusion is equally, if not more important. It’s not just about having the representation but also providing the people we recruit with opportunities and valuing everyone’s contributions and perspectives.
